Waking up
Three years after helping Waking Up launch version 2.0 of the app, I was asked to come work in house as their design lead. Providing direction and insights that have led us to launch the 3.0 of the app after a year of work. Our work focused on three pillars of research:
Discoverability
Leveraging the power of an introductory course to build a foundation so users are ready to discover content. Assisting meditators in finding new content through the new explore page and search functionality.
Personalization
Allowing meditators to customize their experience with practice settings and playlists. During this time, we also implemented a new themed design system, integrating it into the development cycle in collaboration with our engineering team.
